Blackboard Africa is a registered Non-profit Company (NPC), based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Blackboard was founded to bridge the leadership gap amongst young people between ages 13 and 25 and prepare youth to address Africa’s problems. This was validated after a needs-assessment carried out determined this need was not being met.
The organization was founded in 2017 and was the brainchild of youth activist Amonge Sinxoto.

This movement has manifested in Fan Her Flame the 4-module lead-HER-ship program that equips young girls to identify their why and take the world by storm. With this program, Blackboard Africa reminds young women of their responsibilities as leaders in our nation and enables them with practical tools that will help achieve their purpose
BOYS WILL NOT BE BOYS
“boys will NOT be boys” as an anti-slogan for
what boys are traditionally taught in our society. We seek to create uncensored safe spaces for boys, where long term brotherhoods are formed, boys become men and are groomed to be leaders for the advancement of the African continent.
PASS THE BATON
The program is about conscious preparation of young people between the ages 12-25 to overcome the hurdles of life in pursuit of social impact. We use it as a tool for raising Social Entrepreneurs while equipping them with Communication, Relationships and Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Decision Making that can bring positive change in the environment.
